The 2025 racing season will open with a lot of drivers in new positions. Lewis Hamilton moving to Ferrari raised a lot of opinions. Some thought he wouldn’t be good in Ferrari, others thought it would be a good switch. Many people were also sad to see the Charlos (Carlos and Charles) duo come to an end. Hamilton will be replaced by F2 driver Kimi Antonelli, and he will drive alongside Russell. Toto Wolff is enthusiastic to have both the drivers on Mercedes together soon. Kevin Magnussen broke F1 headlines when we found out that he was leaving Haas. He will be replaced by F2 driver Ollie Bearman. We also have Esteban Ocon leaving Alpine, and joining Haas. This means Haas is in for two new drivers, and we will have to see how the season progresses for them. Everyone was abuzz when Logan Sargeant was fired from Williams. The American driver just wasn’t scoring points for the team, and it did not make sense to let him keep going. F2 racer Franco Colapinto will be racing instead for the rest of the 2024 season, and Carlos Sainz will be in for 2025. With Kick Sauber starting off fresh with Nico Hulkenberg, there is still one spot open. Now that Daniel Ricciardo is leaving RB as well, there is a spot available alongside Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda. Hopefully the reports on who will be filling these positions are coming soon. The 2025 season is bound to be an exciting one with all of these changes, and I look forward to seeing how these drivers fit in with their new teams.
